When I began this blog, I imagined the blogosphere as a giant universe and I was floating around in my little tin can. I started posting as a way of sending out signals into the vast universe: “Hello? Anyone I can relate to out there?”
I often felt like the Little Prince visiting one planet (blog genre) after another. Eventually, I figured maybe I just needed my own little planet.
Single moms are vastly underrepresented in everything and the blogosphere shows that. Since I began this blog, I feel it’s become a very single mom friendly sort of place. My readers aren’t all single moms, but they’re supportive people and that’s what we all look for. Because I want to encourage this type of community, I’ve begun collecting resources of various types that might be helpful to other single moms.
This includes a collection of my favorite Single Mom posts to have appeared on this blog, mostly because of the support that came forth from the community.
It also includes what I hope will one day become the most comprehensive collection of single mom blogs.
Lastly, it includes your more typical types of resources– articles, books, and music I found helpful.
If you have anything you’d like to submit to my collection of resources, I’d love to check it out. Please contact me!
