May Hydration

I’m having issues with WordPress today but I wanted to jump in really quickly and say May’s De-Frumpiness Project is WATER. Mayo Clinic advises women to drink 2.2 liters a day which comes to about 9 cups. The boys have to drink 3 liters, or 13 cups.

I’d write more and even link you to the site but last time I did that, it wiped my entry completely. I’ll try and come back on tonight for a meatier post on the project and maybe even a recap on April but I just didn’t want to leave you guys hanging.

  1. Excellent pick! The two things I drink the most are water and coffee (black: no creamer, no sweetener). If I go out for lunch I may splurge and get an iced tea (again no sweetener or creamer) and very rarely I will get a soda (maybe once a month, but usually even less often than that). But when I’m thirsty only one thing satisifies: water. I think I drink at least the required 2.2 liters a day, but often more. People often tell me I have nice skin and I say it’s because I drink a lot of water. :-)

There is a downside, though. I must have water on me at all times. Really, I’m not comfortable if I’m not schlepping my water bottle around with me wherever I go, and at restaurants I need to have my glass of water topped off several times during a meal, even if I do have another beverage at the same time. I’m sure wait and bus staff at restaurants hate people like me.

  2. Okay, this one should be easy. I drink a ton of water too but it’s more in spurts where I’ll chug a glass at a time.
